Akeela’s career began with a wonderful airline called Wardair. She worked in several capacities before she ventured into retail travel with American Express where she held the position of Leisure/Corporate Travel Consultant, prior to joining Tier One Travel. With 30 years in the travel industry, she has acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience and planning holidays for others is really what she enjoys most. Akeela strives for excellence and has received several awards during her career. Her thirst for adventure began as far back as her childhood while residing with her family in a small and remote South American country.

The unique, cultural experiences and education offered by traveling quenches Akeela’s thirst for knowledge and self enhancement. Her greatest joy has been the relationships and friendships she has built and nurtured over the years. Working with Tier One and their affiliation with Ensemble, Akeela has access to an array of exclusive products and contacts, enabling her to secure the best for her clients. When she is not researching new destinations to add to her repertoire, Akeela enjoys ballroom dancing, cooking and entertaining, new experiences and spending time with family. Akeela is well traveled and she aims to explore new destinations every year, particularly the ones known for their gastronomic and culinary delights. Her latest passion has been visiting the many regions of Italy and she will customize itineraries for individuals and groups.
